The behavior of the security guard at the Saccorini parking entrance was extremely rude and unprofessional, especially towards single women. He repeatedly said “full” in a disrespectful tone and didn’t let us in, even at 9 PM. After going there three times, we finally managed to get in once. Our orders were brought out very slowly, one by one, and some of them were even wrong. The food was average at best, and overall, the experience was disappointing. This was a truly exceptional brunch. The restaurant is stunning inside and the brunch lived up to it. There was a wide range of sushi, as well as an excellent hot food selection as a buffet - mostly meat and fish, together with gyoza, dumplings and more. Along with the buffet, there was an a la carte selection for starters, mains and desserts. We tried all of the starters and the black cod and lobster for main courses. Both were superb. The worst experience I have ever had in a supposedly top end restaurant. Restaurant was phoned days in advance to ask if gluten free could be catered for - assured everything would be fine. It was a disaster. The choices from the menu were ridiculously restricted - most of the menu could not be provided. Next, very simple work arounds to cater for gluten free could not be accommodated by the ‘chefs’ such as making a simple salad dressing. This is because everything it pre packed. The ‘chefs’ didn’t know how to make anything. They assemble food - zero skills and no idea about flavour. For example… side dishes made of vegetables (broccoli and a sweetcorn) were delivered without seasoning. Can you imagine a real chef or cook serving grilled sweetcorn without even a sprinkle of salt? Not a dab of butter? Or a pinch of chives or parsley? This place is a machine that churns out basic food assembled by basic staff. The management were rude and arrogant. No effort or apology made at all. The waiting staff who were clearly embarrassed tried their best. Even worse for what is a medical condition… having told the restaurant I’m celiac… they still put soy sauce with wheat in front of me. Had to check it was ok… it was not. Stay away from this restaurant! I ate there with my son at the beginning of the week. The place is so noisy that it’s hard to hear the person sitting with you at the table. The waiter rushes you to order. The food is mediocre at best and definitely not worth the price. They brought our main courses separately, with a 20-minute gap between them. Read more
